When my oldest daughter had a girls book club, one of the mothers suggested the book Beautiful Girlhood. I immediately fell in love with this book. It is a tasteful way to discuss issues that are sensitive in nature. This book is organized by topics such as ambitions, friendships, nature, friendships, purity, tasteful dressing, etc. This book is so beautifully written-in a style that speaks to the days when being a lady meant something wonderful and being a girl meant you were developing yourself for womanhood. I would highly recommend this book to any mother of a young lady, ages 10-15. Some topics may not be quite relevant for the younger girl, but will certainly speak volumes to a young lay entering the pre-courtship years.
I would suggest reading this book alongside your daughter and setting some time to discuss it together once a week as you work your ways through it.
